What is the German Fetish Ball?

 

The GFB is a fetish weekend spread over several days. Its core is the German Fetish FAIR, according to the organiser Germany's largest fetish fair with around 3,000 m² of exhibition space, and the ball on Saturday evening. The fair is aimed at end customers: in 2026 more than 40 labels exhibited, from latex and corset makers to jewellery, BDSM furniture and toys, many of them from Berlin. The ball features fashion shows by latex labels, artistic shows, two floors (EDM and 80s/Gothic/New Wave), a playroom and an outdoor area.

 

Who organises the German Fetish Ball?

 

The organiser is Xklusiv GbR from Hemmingen near Hanover. The party "Fetish Guerilla" at KitKatClub is run by its own team, which has existed since 2006 and is an official partner of the weekend. Other events around the weekend are organised independently.

 

History

 

According to the organiser, the GFB has existed since 2004. By its own account it was the first event of its kind in Germany. For a while it moved to Hamburg and later returned to Berlin. In 2020 and 2021 it was cancelled due to the pandemic.

 

Dates and venues

 

The GFB 2027 takes place from 5 to 9 May 2027 (confirmed by the organiser):

• Wed 5 May: Kinky Cocktails, RIVO Spreeterrassen, from 8 pm (free entry, dress code optional)

• Thu 6 May: Fetish & Femdom Cruise on the Spree (2:10–5:30 pm), in the evening SonicBOOM at Matrix

• Fri 7 May: German Fetish Fair at Heeresbäckerei (12 noon–7 pm), in the evening Fetish Guerilla at KitKatClub

• Sat 8 May: German Fetish Fair (12 noon–6 pm), from 9 pm German Fetish Ball at Spindler & Klatt

• Sun 9 May: Farewell Brunch at Alex am Uber Platz

The GFB traditionally falls on the long weekend around Ascension Day.

 

Who is the GFB for?

 

The organiser addresses fetishists and BDSM people from all over the world, without restrictions by gender or orientation. The crowd is international and mixed, with a strong latex and fashion focus. The Femdom Cruise sets its own focus.

Dress code

 

The ball has a strict dress code: PVC, leather, latex, uniforms, burlesque, fantasy, corsets, glamour. The organiser explicitly wants colour and the unusual. Your outfit does not have to be expensive, but it should be imaginative and stylish. Jeans, everyday clothes and ordinary suits will not get you in.

 

Fetish Guerilla at KitKatClub asks you to "dress to impress" (latex, fetish, fantasy, BDSM, cyberpunk, gothic, future). At the fair, fetish wear is welcome but not required; at the Kinky Cocktails the dress code is optional.

Awareness and rules

 

The organiser does not publish its own awareness concept. At the ball, an official photographer and a photo booth take pictures. If you don't want to appear in photos, it's best to say so directly. At parties in clubs such as KitKatClub, their house rules also apply, there for example: touching without consent leads to a ban.

Tickets

 

Tickets are available in advance and at the door, online via deinetickets.de; the Spree cruises via the GFB website. In 2026 the fair cost €27 and the ball €67, each plus a €3 advance booking fee. The VIP ticket for all events (without cruises, with priority entry at KitKatClub) was sold out in 2026. Prices for 2027 have not been published yet.
