BDSM Workshops & Courses in Berlin – Learn Techniques & Consent Safely

Curious but unsure where to start? That is exactly what workshops are for. In the BDSM workshops and courses in Berlin listed here, you don’t learn techniques from YouTube videos but from experienced instructors who know what matters: safety, communication and consent. Whether you are a complete beginner, want to expand your play as a couple or are an advanced player looking for fine-tuning – you will find the right course here.

What you can learn

The offerings are as broad as kink itself.

In impact play workshops you learn to use impact safely and sensitively – from the first slap to controlled flogging. In courses on dominance and submission you discover how to fill your role consciously and confidently.

There are also practical evening classes on topics such as CBT, sensation play or dirty talk, full BDSM training days and – especially important – courses on consent, sex ed and first aid for kink. Because the best play is worthless if you don’t know how to look out for each other.

Many of the workshops are suitable for individuals as well as couples, and usually you don’t need to bring anything except openness and curiosity.

For beginners and everyone who wants to play safely

In the scene, safety is not small print – it is the foundation.

Before you start your first course, have a look at the article Kink for Beginners in Berlin and the explanation of what BDSM can mean and which forms it takes.

How consent and mindfulness are understood during and outside of play is covered in the Kink Etiquette and on the Awareness page. That way you go into every workshop informed, confident and respectful.

Learning BDSM is not only about mastering techniques – it means building trust, communicating boundaries and growing together.

And in Berlin it is most fun when you learn it properly.

FAQs

1. Is a BDSM workshop suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. Many courses are aimed specifically at beginners and teach the basics step by step. There are in-depth formats for advanced players. The level is stated in each event description.

2. Can I come to a BDSM workshop as a single or do I need a partner?

Both are possible – many workshops are open to individuals as well as couples. Some formats require a practice partner; the instructors state this in each case.

3. What do you learn in a BDSM course?

Depending on the topic, for example impact play, dominance and submission, CBT, sensation play or dirty talk – and, across all topics, consent, communication and first aid for kink. The focus is always on safe, consensual play.

4. Is BDSM dangerous?

BDSM practised responsibly places great emphasis on safety, consent and communication (keywords SSC and RACK). That is exactly why workshops exist: to learn techniques and risks properly instead of experimenting alone.

5. Do I have to take part in the play myself at a workshop?

Not necessarily. In many formats you can take part at your own pace, choose exercises or just watch. Your boundaries are respected – if in doubt, ask the instructors directly.
