Trans and Queer in Berlin – Safe Spaces, Parties & Community

Berlin is one of the queerest cities in the world—and this diversity is reflected in a vibrant trans* and queer community. The focus here is on ensuring you feel safe, seen, and welcome—just as you are.

At kinkyevents.berlin, you can find trans- and queer-friendly events in Berlin all in one place: ranging from play parties specifically for trans*, inter, and non-binary (TIN) individuals and social gatherings to open community meetups.

What to expect

Who is this for?

Trans*, intersex, non-binary, and agender people have created dedicated, safe spaces where they can explore and experience themselves in a protected environment.

The events listed here showcase the diversity of this community life and are specifically aimed at TIN* individuals.

These include specialized play parties, queer social gatherings, meet-and-greets, and community evenings that prioritize connection and exchange.

However, TIN* members are also welcome at many other events, even those not specifically tailored to them.

TIN* spaces thrive on respect, consensus, and mindful interaction. Many of the events listed here are explicitly designed as safer spaces—featuring clear rules, awareness structures, and an ethos that is highly sensitive to ensuring there is no room for discrimination.

Before attending for the first time, it is worth taking a look at the concept of awareness and the codes of conduct.

Whether you are part of the TIN community yourself, attending as an ally, or simply curious, here you will find events where queer diversity is a given.

FAQs

What does TIN mean?

TIN stands for trans*, inter, and non-binary. It's an umbrella term for people whose gender doesn't (fully) match the one assigned at birth. Many events are specifically aimed at TIN individuals and their friends in order to create protected spaces.

Are these events only for trans* and queer people?

It varies. Some events are deliberately protected spaces exclusively for TIN people, others explicitly invite allies and friends too. Who is welcome is always stated in the respective event description.

Do I need to bring a fetish or kink?

No. Many queer and TIN events don't focus on specific fetishes – visibility, community, and safe interaction take center stage. Everything is welcome, nothing is required.

Are the events suitable for beginners?

Yes. Many formats are designed to be open and welcoming, some with voluntary introduction rounds to help you settle in. You don't need any skills and don't need to bring anything except openness and respect.

How is safety and respectful interaction ensured?

Many events see themselves as safer spaces with clear codes of conduct and awareness structures. Consent and respectful interaction are always at the center. Details are determined by each organizer individually.
